Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook will make a $50,000 donation to the group Americans United to Defend Civil Liberties, according to the campaign.
The move comes as the Clinton campaign has spent the past two days pushing back against a Trump ad targeting voters who back the president’s immigration policy.
Mook, who has worked in the Clinton White House, is a longtime Clinton supporter who has previously worked for the Democratic National Committee and for Priorities USA Action, a super PAC that supports Clinton’s presidential bid.
A $50 donation to Americans United is the largest ever made by a campaign to a super PACs supporting a presidential candidate, according at least one political watchdog.
The PAC has raised $8.4 million, according the Center for Responsive Politics.
