A new Pallet wood project in Texas will include a concrete mix and a mixture of wood and cement that will be mixed and poured into a wood pallet to build a concrete structure.
The PalletWood project in New Braunfels, Texas, is the third such project to be built in Texas in the last two months.
The first two projects are for homes and apartments, and the third is a wood structure for commercial purposes.
In addition to Pallet, the projects include a wood, concrete and concrete mixture for an outdoor kitchen and bathroom, as well as concrete and wood to support a parking garage, according to a release.
“We wanted to provide a home that could be designed for both a walk-in and a drive-in design,” said John Miller, the project manager.
“We wanted a home for our community, and we wanted a community that could have a lot of wood in it.”
The pallet, which will be made up of two separate pieces, will be covered with a concrete wall, according the release.
A concrete base will be attached to the pallet.
“When we’re building a home, we’re going to need the most materials that we can find to build it,” Miller said.
“Palletwood has the right mix of materials and we have the right amount of time.”
The project is expected to be finished by May.
